Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Michael (Mike) Jones is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of American Security and Protection Service a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), headquartered in Murphy, North Carolina.
In 1967, Jones graduated the South Carolina Criminal Justice Training Academy after separating from the US Navy. He served 6 years in local law enforcement with both the Greenville and Travelers Rest Police departments, advancing to the Rank of Lieutenant. Jones relocated to Boston in 1973, where he joined New England Security as Vice President of Operations. The private security company spanned a variety of sectors – security, staffing, investigations, facilities management and aviation security services. In 1979, he was recruited by Argenbright Security to serve as Regional manager for the Northeast Region, that included Boston, New York and Washington, DC. During that time, he managed the aviation security services for Delta, Eastern, Continental and Trump Airlines, growing Argenbright Security from 800 to 30,000 man-hours. In 1980, Jones developed the first Aviation Training Program to be implemented and used by major airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He wrapped up a long and distinguished career (30+ years) in contract security management, retiring in July 2010.
In 2018, after eight years in retirement and at the young age of 70 Jones once again embarked upon a new adventure wherein he established American Security and Protection Service (ASPS). Today, ASPS provides premier security solutions to a number of clients, throughout the US.
Chief Financial Officer
Dongmei Jones is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of American Security and Protection Service (ASPS), headquartered in Murphy, North Carolina.
Ms. Jones has more than twenty five years’ experience in Operations. She held certification in Nursing, Medical Administration and Acupuncture within the Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited, supporting its employee wellness center, motivating and managing program staff by providing leadership, mentoring and coaching, planning, and monitoring job performance. She provided medical administration management expertise for completion of all health standards and health protection program management, developed, aligned and executed the organization’s strategy/business plan to organizational priorities, recommended and championed new approaches, policies and procedures to support key result areas; maintained knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in key result areas, provided support toward conducting studies, collecting data and identifying trends in the organization and administration of Company health, comprehensive case management, care coordination, and disposition service, supported company compliance with medical screenings and requirements. monitored compliance with medical requirements to ensure timely completion and medical qualification of assigned personnel.
In 2010, after relocating to Murphy, North Carolina Ms. Jones accepted a position with Cherokee River Valley Casino where she worked for a period of five years. There she established and endorsed business objectives, ethics and values in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values. Dealt one or more games in order to provide guests with courteous and accurate service and promoted an entertaining environment; maintained department standards of games productivity, demonstrated superior customer service skills by displaying outlined service behaviors at all times, maintained an upbeat and positive attitude, created positive energy with gestures and sustain enthusiasm from one interaction to the next, handled and safeguarded money, counted large sums of cash. She demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, and handled multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
North Carolina Accounts Manager
Stephen Vaughn serves as Chief Compliance Officer for American Security and Protection Service (ASPS) a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), headquartered in Murphy, North Carolina.
Stephen has accumulated in excess of 39 years’ experience in customer service acquired while serving as an employee with Ingles Markets. Stephen held numerous positions throughout his employment with Ingles up to and including Assistant Manager. Stephen in 2018, while pursuing new opportunities departed the marketing arena and accepted a position as a private security company officer with Walden Security in Murphy, NC. He remained with Walden until joining American Security and Protection Service (ASPS) in January 2019. Since joining ASPS Stephen has filled a number of roles promoting up through the ranks to his present position, Captain and NC ASPS Accounts Manager. As NC Accounts Manager, he oversees day-to-day operations for ASPS Clients throughout Northern Carolina, duties include applicant recruitment, provides recommendations on hiring and disciplinary matters, conducts employee performance reports, contributes to payroll and facilitates assorted other ASPS administrative actions.
Stephen is a graduate of Tri-County Community College, where he earned an associate degree in Business.
Georgia Accounts Manager
Jennifer Cassidy serves as Georgia Accounts Manager for American Security and Protection Service (ASPS) a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), headquartered in Murphy, North Carolina.
Prior to joining American Security and Protection Service in April 2019, Jennifer accumulated in excess of 11 years’ experience in customer service having served in various positions of employment to include the Health Care Community where she served as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), promoting in ranks to achieve Lead Resident Assistant (LRA), and as a Customer Service Retail Associate in the retail industry. Since joining ASPS she has served in various positions that included general security officer where she secured premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permits entry to prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; to informing violators of policy and procedures and restraining trespassers. She has advanced throughout the ranks achieving her current position of Georgia Accounts Manager. In this role she provides strong client support, a safe a secure environment for job sites, oversees day-to-day operations for ASPS clients, participates in applicant recruitment, maintains payroll, scheduling, interviewing, completes Post Orders, makes recommendations on hiring and disciplinary matters, provides training to new hires, conducts employee performance reports, completes assorted ASPS administrative functions.
